Singapore Consulate in Pekanbaru closes on Oct 31
The Singapore Consulate in Pekanbaru will cease operations 31 October 2012.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says it will stop processing visa applications and other consular matters from 30 October 2012.
Services provided and all other responsibilities currently undertaken by the Consulate in Pekanbaru will be undertaken by the Singapore Consulate in Batam.
MFA says the closure of the Consulate in Pekanbaru is part of its efforts to streamline the delivery of consular services, with the opening of the Consulate in Batam in 2009.
The Singapore Consulate in Batam is located at the following address: 8th floor, Sumatera Convention Centre, Jalan Engku Putri, Kav. 01,Batam Centre, Batam 29461, Indonesia.
